The PAM V2 represents Audionet's latest state-of-the-art ULA technology (Ultra Linear Amplifier). The construction is optimized magnetically and capacitatively. The signal paths have absolute minimum length with no harmful components like coupling capacitors, coils, or relays. Input and output circuits are immune to negative influences of connected devices. Consequent SMD miniature technology ensures optimized high frequency properties.

Every sound-critical point in the PAM V2 is fitted exclusively with the finest components and components procurable worldwide, and in part custom fabricated for Audionet. For exampe, the selected filter capacitors, as well as the bulk of our high audiograde electrolyte capacitors with a dielectric, are made of silk. We place on mica capacitors, insert selected high voltage foil capacitors, deploy high-quality silver-gold alloys for our internal wiring, and use the very best connector systems available from WBT, our neighbors in the nearby city of Essen.

All voltages are delivered by a 100 VA toroid core transformer and fast, impulse-stable audio high-current capacitors with a total capacity of 40,000 uF. The voltages are stabilized by 10 discrete and optimized MOS regulators.

Gain and RIAA de-accentuation are carried out simultaneously in two stages. The operational amplifiers in the signal path are built up as discrete and optimized elements; they have a gain-bandwidth product of 1 GHz. The de-accentuation is achieved by high-value mica capacitors. The output operational amplifiers are class A amplifiers with high bias current. Each operational amplifier is supplied by two fast, discrete voltage regulators. The amplification stages are switched by gold-coated precision relays. Special input impedances can be set individually for maximum customization.
